There was this book. A book I used to read every night, to all the younger kids. The Tales of Flynnigan Rider! Swashbuckling rogue, richest man alive, not bad with the ladies, either. Not that he’d ever brag about it, though.

As many of you know, I have about a million blogs. As my fellow co blogger Megan knows, I kind of suck at keeping up with said blogs.

That aside, the blog that I’m showing now is something I’ve been working on for a while. I’ve been keeping it a secret. I haven’t told anyone - not even my closest friends. Animation Playground (i might change the name later) is going to aim to be a collection of all aspects of animation from all over (this includes visual effects and video games), as well as resources and recommendations for animation students and appreciators in the form of videos, documentaries, books, and what ever other forms of media.

I’ll also be posting original GIFs that are related to animation, and hopefully I will be able livestream movies and commentary from animated movies from time to time.

What I’m really hoping for this blog is a team of people to help run and contribute to it. If you like animation at all and want to help me with this, please let me know!! I’ll add you as a member and promote you to an administrator so you have full access to everything. Mods will be an important part of this project, as more people finding and posting things will make the content more diverse.

Another thing I would really like is people submitting their own work to show. Modeling, pencil tests, storyboards, anything related that you want to share. However I’m a bit hesitant about this, as I’ve never really had a lot of follower participation before on other blogs. If the blog gets a good response, perhaps pages of submitted work can be achieved.

Animation is something that I’m really passionate about. Please keep in mind that it’s a new blog so there’s not a ton of stuff on it yet. Also, this has been a really long post. Pleeeeease follow! I’ll love you 5evr
